Wednesday, August 2 - 18 Holes Stroke PlayIn the event of a tie, the winner shall be determined by Sudden-Death playoff immediately following completion of regulation play.
-Purse will be determined prior to the start of the championship.
-All contestants will play from the Championship Tees.
Format: Play will be 54 Holes of Stroke Play over three days. There will a cut after 36 Holes. Low 40 players plus ties will play 18 holes on day three.
Field: The size of the field will be limited to 156 players.
Eligibility
-Professionals: RI PGA members, New England PGA members and apprentices, and RI Residents will pay an entry fee of $325.00.
-Unaffiliated & Non-RI Resident Professionals: Will be eligible and pay an entry fee of $425.00.
-Amateurs: RIGA members with a handicap index of 3.0 or less and must have 2015 or 2016 Player of the Year points. Preference will be give to professionals. All amateurs will be put on a waiting list and will be notified of their status at the entry deadline. The amateur entry fee is $155.00.
Cart and Caddie policy: Carts fees are included in the entry fee. A player may carry their own bag or employ a caddie.
Conditions/Schedules: The RIGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the RIGA in any matter shall be final.
Important: Entries must be received by July 19, 2017. If a player wishes to enter a tournament after the entry deadline, and if there is an available spot for that player, there will be an additional charge of $25.00.
